Editorial Guidelines For Articles

These editorial guidelines are designed to help you understand the qualifications for an acceptable article on numerology4you.com’s article database.

1.      Article Content:  Your Article must be original content that you wrote or had written for you.  No Private Label Articles, or Articles taken from the Public Domain.

2.      No Affiliate Program Links: If I find them, I will either reject the article, or remove the links before publishing the article.  It is ok to mention the URL of a helpful site, or to link to your own pages that then redirect to the affiliate product.

3.      Value for Readers: MUST NOT be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype.

4.      Proper English: Please use proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure.  Your article must also be proofed and double checked for accuracy.

5.      No Adult Material: MUST NOT contain pornography/adult material, hate or violence-oriented, suggest racial intolerance, advocate against any individual, have insulting-obscene-degrading tone, or contain excess profanity.

6.      No Undesirable Material: MUST NOT contain information on: hacking/cracking content, auto-surf program advocacy or promotion, bomb creation, support for terrorism/ radicalism/ religious fanaticism, illicit drugs or drug paraphernalia, steroid use or advocacy, weapon/ firearms/ ammunition/ balisongs/ butterfly knives or brass knuckles, or the promotion of hard alcohol/tobacco-related products or prescription drugs.

7.      No Illegal Material: MUST NOT contain any content that is a violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.

8.      No Duplicate Articles: MUST NOT be a submission of the exact same article as one that you already submitted. Some authors have submitted the same article multiple times with only a few words changed in the body -- we reject these and ban authors who engage in this practice.

9.      Article Title Restrictions:  Titles must be upper and Lower case; No HTML, No All Caps, No Leading Spaces, No Website URL’s, No Quotes around Whole title, No period at the end.

10.  Article Length:  Must be a minimum of 250 words, and a maximum of 2,500 words.  Ideal size is 400 to 1000 words long.

11. Avoid Hard Sell:  If you hard sell in the ARTICLE BODY by including your URL or product pitch or blatant self-promotion, I will toss your article without notice. The RESOURCE BOX is where you get to promote yourself.

12. Valid HTML Tags: I allow the following HTML tags in your articles:

a.        <b>BOLD</b>

b.        <i>ITALICS</i>

c.        <u>UNDERLINE</u>

d.        <br> is used to force a hard line return. Use this HTML tag to prevent our system from trying to wrap your short sentences together into one paragraph.

e.        I do allow ACTIVE website URLs in the body of your article as long as they are not abused.

f.         <pre> and </pre> To make a text table look right.

g.        <blockquote>TO INDENT A PARAGRAPH</blockquote>

 

13.      Invalid HTML Tags: I don’t allow the following HTML tags:

a.        <JAVASCRIPT> is not allowed in any form.

b.        <IMG SRC> Image tags are NOT allowed.

c.        FONT SIZE changes or COLOR tags are NOT allowed.

d.        <H1>, <H2>, <H3>, etc. tags are NOT allowed.

e.        The <HR> horizontal line tag is NOT allowed.

f.         Microsoft Word Smart Quotes are not valid HTML code.  Do not include them in any of your HTML statements.  

14.     < span style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">ACTIVE LINKS / YOUR URL:  I allow up to 3 "Self-Serving" Links/URLs, active or inactive, in your article / Resource Box. A "Self-Serving" Link/URL is a link/URL to a website that you own, control or have an interest in.  You are also limited to no more than (6) total active links per article.

No Links / URL’s allowed in the top half of your article.  Please use the Resource Box for your self serving links.
